{"id":2558,"date":"2025-09-12T15:02:57","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T13:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deliberativa.org\/?post_type=proyecto&#038;p=2558"},"modified":"2026-02-17T17:11:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T16:11:54","slug":"global-citizens-assembly","status":"publish","type":"proyecto","link":"https:\/\/deliberativa.org\/en\/proyecto\/global-citizens-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Citizens&#8217; Assembly on Food Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From August 2025<\/p>\n\n<p>Convener: <a href=\"https:\/\/iswe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iswe Foundation<\/a>, in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/globalassemblies.org\/partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">other entities<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>Designed to give communities around the world a voice for a sustainable future for planet Earth, the G<a href=\"https:\/\/globalassemblies.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lobal Citizens\u2019 Assembly 2026<\/a> is a new initiative that builds on the lessons learned from the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalassembly.org\/report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Global Assembly 2021<\/a> on the climate and ecological crisis.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Global Citizen Assembly, which is presented at COP30 in Brazil in November 2025, has four components (the 4 Cs):<br\/>&#8211; Community Assemblies that allow the participation of anyone on the planet (supported by the Assemblis platform);<br\/>&#8211; a <a href=\"https:\/\/globalassemblies.org\/civic-assembly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Civic Assembly<\/a> that is a snapshot of the world&#8217;s population (a global mini-public), selected through a global lottery that allows anyone to be selected;<br\/>&#8211; Campaign and culture to increase the Assembly&#8217;s visibility and influence;<br\/>&#8211; Coalition of supporting institutions, organizations, movements and nation states.<\/p>\n\n<p>Deliberativa is contributing to the design and implementation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalassemblies.org\/civic-assembly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Civic Assembly<\/a>, which in 2026 will bring together a group of 105 citizens selected through a civic lottery specifically designed to represent the planet&#8217;s population. To find them, a lottery algorithm was run in September 2025 to select random points on the world map.
