José María Sierra (Chema) earned a degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas in Mexico City in 2019. Upon graduation, he worked in the Community Affairs Department of the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago until 2022.
He then completed a Master’s degree in Transnational Governance at the European University Institute in Florence with a final paper on gastronomic culture and food policy in the European Union.
He has been part of the Deliberativa team since July 2025, collaborating in the European Citizens’ Panels and the Global Civic Assembly.
