Deliberative AI – Innovation

From 2023

Deliberative AI is a line of work focused on how to use state-of-the-art language models (LLMs) for democratic and people-centered purposes. In this context, we collaborate with organizations to design prototypes and experiments. We use LLMs to cluster similar ideas, simulate part of the deliberative processes to improve designs and manage responses to citizens’ queries (always with expert verification).

We have submitted several proposals to Open AI in 2023 and in 2024 to the Google.org Impact Challenge: Strengthening Democracy in Europe in 2024, being ranked among the 30 best projects. We are currently looking for collaborations to further this line of work.
