We design, accompany and evaluate deliberative processes.
At the request of political leaders or public administrations at all territorial levels (local, regional, state, European and global), we co-design, together with their promoters, the deliberative processes. From thinking about the most appropriate mechanism, to setting all the details that ensure the success of a Citizen’s Convention.
We use international standards (OECD, KNOCA, etc.), our own research (Horizons CLIMAS) and our extensive experience.
We activate strategies for the promotion and institutionalization of deliberative tools.
Within the framework of the deliberative wave that is occurring internationally, we promote the development and institutionalization of deliberative tools in Spain and Europe. To this end, we maintain a constant dialogue with administrations and institutions interested in deliberative processes, and we give lectures and trainings. In parallel, we co-promote platforms to activate citizen assemblies from civil society.
Building networks and experimenting with new methodologies
The main international Deliberative Network, Democracy R&D, was launched in Madrid in 2018. Since then, we are part of this network as well as other networks that have been formed subsequently (FIDE, KNOCA…). In 2023, we have promoted the creation of the Delib Network, of deliberative professionals of the Iberian Peninsula.Since 2023, we are also building a methodological guide for the realization of Citizen Assemblies and Citizen Panels together with European partners in the framework of the CLIMAS project (Horizon Europe).
